Data Protection
Collection, processing and use of personal data in the context of studies of the GES
The collection of personal data, which is carried out by GES alone or together with cooperation partners in the context of survey projects, serves exclusively for its own business purposes. The data collected is subject to the purpose, which was transmitted to the respondents with the request for the transfer of this data. If a transfer of the collected data to third parties is intended, GES undertakes to inform the respondent in advance.
The data collected in GES survey projects is based on the principle that the data with which a person can be directly identified (name, address, e-mail) is kept separate from the other survey data. As soon as the necessity of storing the address data is no longer given (usually after the last survey has been carried out), these are irretrievably deleted.
Participation in GES surveys is always voluntary. These surveys are often carried out anonymously, so that the collection of the name and address data is deliberately omitted. If the project is designed in such a way that persons are to be interviewed repeatedly, they are always referred to this fact and asked to provide the address data exclusively for use in the context of the explained purpose.
All information provided in the GES surveys will, of course, be evaluated in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations and in accordance with purely scientific criteria. Results are published in a way that makes it impossible to draw conclusions about individuals.
GES uses technical and organizational security measures to protect personal data provided against misuse. GES internally, only those employees have access to the data of a project that is responsible for the implementation of the project. Our security measures are continuously adapted in line with technological developments.
Upon request, we will inform you according to the applicable law, whether and what data about you are stored by us.
